SugarCane Bagasses is the dry pulpy fibrous material that remains after crushing sugarcane or sorghum stalks to extract their juice. It is used as a biofuel for the production of heat, energy, and electricity, and in the manufacture of pulp and building materials.
Bagasse is typically used to produce heat and electricity in sugar mills (cogeneration), but can also be used for paper making, as cattle feed and for manufacturing of disposable food containers. Currently, bagasse is mainly used as a fuel in the sugarcane industry to satisfy its own energy requirements.

Sugarcane press mud contains many nutrients, so it can be applied as organic manure to the crop and composted for value addition for easy uptake by the plants. Generally, the compost sample contains C/N ratio of 725.95, total potassium of 1.43%, and total organic carbon of 12.53%.
SugarCane is grown in various kinds of soils, such as red volcanic soils and alluvial soils of rivers. The ideal soil is a mixture of sand, silt, and clay particles, with a measure of organic material.
